
Robert (“Bob”) Nations, President
After 30 years in the toy industry, Robert began his journey of embracing his community. He owns and operates a business called Senior Helpers North Bay.
For the past 15 years, he has served on the board of directors for Napa Valley Support Services and has been the Board President for the past 10 years and serves on the Governance, Audit and Resource Generation Committees.
In addition to being committed to NVSS, he serves on the Board of Director for Share the Care Napa Valley and has served as Board President since January 2022.
He served as the Board President for Senior Access in Marin County, Napa County Commission on Aging, the Solano County Section on Aging, and the Santa Rosa Health Committee. In January 2020, he championed and opened a community training center.
The center is a collaboration with The Meadows for Napa Valley and The Napa Independent School Districts Adult School program.
Peter Stephens, Vice President
Peter moved to Napa in 2013 after spending almost 40 years in the financial and investment industries. After completing college and receiving a BA degree from Lehigh University, Peter spent three years as an infantry officer in the United Stated Marine Corps. He then returned to school and earned a J.D. from Suffolk University and a Master of Laws degree from Boston University.

His work experience includes staff attorney for the U.S. Comptroller of the Currency, tax specialist for a Big 8 accounting firm and numerous positions in the financial and wealth management industry.
Since retiring in Napa, Peter enjoys golf and the many social and arts activities in the Napa Valley with his wife Kristine. Peter is a past Board member and two-term President of the Silverado Country Club. In addition to serving on the NVSS Board, Peter also serves on the Resource Generation and Governance committees.

Celeste Guinta, Director
Celeste moved to Napa in 2018. She thoroughly enjoys living here with its warm community and climate! From 2019-2024, Celeste took on the role of Executive Director for Napa Valley Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD) to become more connected to her new community.
She led the COAD coalition’s response and recovery efforts for the COVID-19 pandemic and 2020 wildfires by coordinating the non-governmental response through member agencies. She is grateful to continue to build a more equitable and resilient Napa County for all by serving on the NVSS board.
Her previous background includes 30+ years in human resource consulting supported by an MBA from UC Irvine and a Masters in Dispute Resolution from Marquette University. She previously served as the Executive Director for an adult literacy program in Wisconsin. Celeste spent her formative years growing up in Japan where she learned the importance of cultural sensitivity in all forms.
Alston (“Auty”) Hayne, Director
A California native, Auty now lives in St. Helena with his wife Adrian. He was educated in the East, where he attended high school, college and graduate school. For twenty years, Auty ran his own business assisting students in various areas of tutoring, test preparations and college advising.

Now retired, Auty grows wine grapes on his family’s 120-year old vineyard and is an active volunteer with several organizations.
His hero is Nicky, his special-needs brother. Auty has served on the NVSS BOD for approximately 4 years and serves on the Audit and Resource Generation Committees.

Stephanie Davis, Director
Stephanie was born and raised in Saint Helena, and has a deep love for the community she grew up in and its community-based organizations. Stephanie was a member of the 4-H club and active in the FFA, as well as a Rotary youth exchange student to Finland.
After attending Wells College in New York, where she studied Psychology with a focus on Neuroscience and Cognition, she returned home to Napa and found herself with a career in non-profit finance and operations. She is an avid traveler, reader, and hiker, with a passion for remote places and conservation.
