NVSS is working with a consultant to develop and complete an assessment of the agency. NVSS will develop NVSS’ Ultimate Goal and identify opportunities for the HCBS grant. Information is currently being gathered from all stakeholders including clients, staff, parents, employers, and caregivers.
Brown Street Gallery artists are taking on new crafts to bring to Farmers Market. Whether they’re making jewelry, crocheting (check out Elizabeth’s newest booties!), wine cork wreaths, or animals, our artists are always creating new gems!
The Brown Street Gallery Photography class had their final editing, and chose the photos for the show “From the Garden”. Farmers Market has been so successful that the tie dye item supply ran low! NVSS Activities Coordinator Leticia trained staff to teach Tie Dye Creation Class, and soon enough, supply levels are back up!
The Office of Clients’ Rights Advocacy conducted a training at Imperial Way Program. Everyone received client friendly booklets describing all the rights they have as individuals. Up next was Clients Rights Bingo with prizes for winners. Clients really enjoyed this informative training!
#TBT to when NVSS went to the Napa Town & Country Fair and enjoyed fair food, games, and rides! Imperial Way Instructors, Supervisors, Program Director, and Program Assistant organized the week to ensure all interested individuals could attend.
Jason hangs out with his new pals at the Imperial Way Job Club. In his words, it’s become a very “enriching experience”. NVSS clients continue to enhance their skills!
Edgar just completed his first assessment with NPS at Lixit, which he thoroughly enjoyed! Fellow clients Ivan, Miguel, and Jose were exceptional coworkers by encouraging Edgar to join the group at lunch.
