In early November 2022, the Board of Directors, Management Team, Staff and those we support enthusiastically welcomed Jamie to NVSS! We are excited to have her lead the organization as well as bringing positive changes to the agency. We look forward to the many exciting opportunities ahead.

Jamie Freymuth Thompson (MPA) first entered the vocational rehabilitation and support world in 2008 as a Direct Support Professional (DSP). After 3 years, Jamie relocated to Santa Barbara to attend UCSB, graduating with a double major in Environmental Studies and Cultural Anthropology. Because her heart remained in human services and the nonprofit world, Jamie returned to the Bay Area to become the manager of a vocational day program, and later became the director of rehabilitation at a Sonoma County nonprofit organization in 2015. Jamie holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration through Sonoma State University. She was drawn to NVSS for the mission and to continue the organization’s tradition of a person centered approach. Jamie lives in the Bay area with her dog, multiple chickens, spouse, and two children Camilla and Naomi.
